Can the Brain Overcome Spinal Cord Injuries?

Although not ready for patients yet, the basic idea is to bypass the
spinal cord injury and create a direct route from the brain to the
muscles. Scientists report the technique was successful when tested on
monkeys.

Although most people can control their seizures with medication, drugs
don't work well for about 30% of patients. For them, brain surgery may
